「雷霆3 PCIe 轉接盒 (Thunder3 PCIe Box)」支援 PCIe x16 的插槽，可安裝半長、全高、雙卡寬度的 PCIe 卡，並提供到 25W 的電力給 PCIe 卡使用。外接使用的 Thunderbolt 3 連接介面具有 40Gb/s 的頻寬，足夠給 PCIe x4 第 3 代使用，並在串接時還有足夠的頻寬讓所連接的裝置使用。

兩個 Thunderbolt 3 連接孔。可以支持 Thunderbolt 3 串接使用（最多可串接 5 台裝置），這一代的 Thunderbolt 3 兼容了 USB 3.1 功能，所以您也可以連接 USB 3.1 Gen2（10 Gbps）的裝置使用，當然一樣可以連接 DisplayPort 裝置。
